About the Artists
Peter Tarkulich
Peter is the modern Renaissance man. In addition to being an artist, he is also a writer, a web designer, a musician, and a loving husband. He is an avid reader, a lover of many styles and genres of music, a movie buff, and a cartoon fanatic. He loves to cook, taste wine, get into serious discussions, and laugh. In short, he loves life. He has been writing and drawing a fantasy webcomic, Bardsworth, since 2005.
Peter discovered in looking at other artists is that a lot of the artwork felt similar. He wanted to do the opposite - to create fairy artwork that was bright and vibrant, something that catches the eye right away and has an energetic feeling. It's probably from watching so many cartoons.
Katharine Tarkulich
Katharine has entered the world of fairy artwork in order to form a "Fairy Empire" with her husband. She is a very tactile person and loves working with different mediums. She is also an avid musician, playing piano, flute, and guitar.
With a Masters in Costume Design, she has found a way to fuse her love of fantasy with her obsession with costuming. Her inspiration comes from vintage pin-up photos and historical clothing.
